I’ve Been Selected For A Mathetes Award
Wow! This is really cool. I have been chosen by Chris Carey for this recognition. I hope that I am deserving of this honor. It is only my desire to share my journey with others and that through that sharing, I might find that we’re all not really so different. Thanks Chris, your support means a lot.
In the spirit of this award and according to the rules, I am to pick five other “Mathetes” (Disciples) to pass it on to. As you pass it on, please mention Dan King at “Management By God” and provide a link to him and the person that awarded you.
This is exciting to me and I hope that it electrifies those that I pass it on to as well to keep doing what it is they are doing and spreading the love and word of Jesus Christ throughout the blogosphere.
My selections are………………………………………………
These five selections in no way represent the totality of great ministry which is out here in cyberspace. I pray for the Holy Spirit to dwell in and bless each of the bloggers above and those they select greatly as they disciple through the blogosphere by sharing their loves, hates, fears, ambitions, what motivates them and what brings them down. It is the type of relationships that we have developed here, with those we may or may not know, those we may or may not agree with, that are, in my opinion, the example for the rest of society. Thank you all for your sharing for you have enhanced my journey
May all of your efforts and lives be blessed greatly by the one we call our Lord.
In Jesus’ name……Amen.

Mike,
After a brief look at your blog, you seem to be very deserving of this award! Thanks for dropping a comment on my site to let me know that it has been passed on to you! I am just very glad to see that it is starting to touch so many worthy people!
God bless!

Congratulations, Mike!
I just came over from Dan’s and your blog is really interesting, especially your post on “Ministry is about Relationships” which I find so true and I do get the same comments here in my part of the world.
God bless you, brother.
Shalom Aleichem, and I’ll be back for more.

Dan ~ Thanks for the visit and the encouragment. Again, it is very humbling for me considering the depth of relationship to the Lord which exists out there.
Sicarii ~ Welcome and thanks for stopping by to take a look. I look forward to your visits and your insights. God Bless You As Well.
Aleichem Shalom.
Erin, you totally deserve it!! You’re honest, you have integrity and you put it all out there on the table. Not even knowing you personally, I already feel that I can call you friend.

Rachel ~ You’re a great disciple and that’s why I chose you. Not only that, you’re kinda cool too.
Post your award, pick five folks who you think are deserving. Then put a link to your post here and also at Managment by God.

Hey. I haven’t dropped off the face of the earth, just been insanely busy! I promise I’ll blog again soon, just need to get this week over with. Have to preach on Sunday, plus have 3 commissions for artwork on the go, so life’s a little mental! I don’t know how to post the award!
Sad but true, I’m a computer moron. You should see the weird way I post! I’ll try to work it out though. Site looks good, too!

hey! i remember you mentioning something about this back in September but I was so busy that I didn’t do much blog reading again until recently. Now, I am trying to catch up and came across this! Thanks for selecting me. Receiving this from someone who is such a great example of what it means to be a Disciple means a lot!

Your a most welcome S.P….and most deserving. I sometimes envy (I know bad word) your age and devotion. When I look at what you have accomplished, I sometimes feel bad that I wasted most of my life. Then I remember that God used my past to make me what I am for him now and it really wasn’t wasted, was it? You are a great example and have a very bright future. May the Lord continue to bless your ministry brother.

no, it absolutely was not wasted!
i look at where two of my family members currently are. they drink excessively and do drugs. one of them would be classified as an alcoholic. people look at where they are and think they are wasting their lives. i look at them and think, if you can get the help you need you can be such a great witness to others in your future. they will be able to impact others because of what they have gone through in ways that i will not be able to. i hope, no, pray that they will get to that point.
when we learn from our mistakes and use that knowledge to help others learn then i believe we are fulfilling our calling in the world.

One of my favorite scriptures speaks of what we’re talking about.
The knowledge that we gain in triumph through our Lord over our trials is meant for us to pass along the same blessings to those in the same trials. After all should we be surprised that we go through trials? Better yet, are we the only ones who suffer them?
