New Ice Breakers Look Like Illegal Drugs
2007 December 3
Spread the word on this one!!
HT: Chris for putting this out into the blogosphere.
HARRISBURG, Pa. – New mint packets being sold by The Hershey Co. look nearly identical to the tiny heat-sealed bags used to sell illegal powdered drugs like crack, heroin and cocaine and glorify the drug trade, a Philadelphia police official said.

Hershey spokesman Kirk Saville said this:
Each pouch — made by two dissolvable mint strips — bears the Ice Breakers logo. “It is not intended to simulate anything”
Here’s my thinking. That’s all well and good right up to the time when the manufacturers and dealers get the bright idea to counterfeit the Hershey Logo and put it on their bags. Then what Kirk?

Oi!
That is so stupid!
I’m not sure if the Hershey company is completely off thier rockers, or someone decided it would be ‘cool’ to simulate drug packs…..
{virtual head-shaking here…}
I really don’t know what they were thinking. Word of this needs to get out though.
Mike, I saw this on the news. Either the entire Hershey’s company is completely out of touch, or it was intentional.
Adam. That was my line of thinking as I looked at it last night as well. Maybe it’s a little of both but I am leaning hard toward the latter.
