*SIGH*
2008 June 21
I just went into my search terms and found that one of the top three searches which led people to my blog is “old guy”.
Not sure what to think of that……
I’ll be off pouting if anyone is looking for me

Well, then consider yourself a wise *old* owl.
Don’t feel bad, my top searches have nothing to do with anything I’ve personally written. Most commonly the lyrics to the Mom Song.
At one point, mine was “amish porn”…
your turn in A2A
Lauren ~ Amish Porn makes for an interesting mental.
Jon ~ Thanks. I have fond memories of New Orleans.
The search terms people use to get to my blog are sometimes pretty odd, but nowhere NEAR Lauren’s “amish porn.” What the heck?!
Most google searches in Brazil are looking for information on child prostitution (hopefully high school homework assignments), and they turn up my blog because I’ve posted about this problem in Brazil a few times. Stateside searches vary, and U.K. searches are almost always looking for things about N.T. Wright.
What gets me is when I can see someone from a particular location visiting repeatedly and directly (not via a search) but they never leave a comment. Someone in Niteroi, Brazil (near Rio) has been hitting my blog for the past several days, but I guess it must not be anyone I know.
No, I’m not paranoid. Why would you think that…?
How do you find this information out?
Adam ~ You know what makes me paranoid. I have a wireless mouse and as I sat here reading your response, the cursur was moving by itself. Maybe I should post on that and then I can have a bunch of Ouija Board users coming here too!!
Sean ~ WordPress tracks the stats for you and they are all on your dashboard page. The second section down is stats and shows the top two or three searches right on your dashboard. If you click on “see all” in the upper right, it takes you to your stats page. In the lower left side of the stats page there is a link for “search engine terms”. This page shows the last two days but if you click on the link, you can search by number of days, quarter, year and all time.
Your stats page also shows where people are visiting you from and which links on your blog that people are clicking.
Cool! Thanks!!!
That is just damn funny.
