The atheists, secularists and general anti-religion crowd in Australia have been particularly nasty about the pope’s visit. So much hate. This wasn’t nearly the worst they’ve done. You should see the blasphemous and sometimes obscene T-shirts. It makes me sad.
I can hear him whispering to the guy in the red robes,
“Come to me, all who are weak and heavy laden, and I will show you the POWER OF THE DARK SIDE!”

And how can it be any more obvious that priests are gay when you see outfits like those?
Okay, yes, that was rude…. to me this picture is no more ridiculous than religious tradition is anyway.
Adam ~ I did not post this picture as a slam on Catholicism at all. I just thought it was funny as hell being a Star Wars Fan. Having said that, I believe that the Catholic church has a lot to apologize for and make up for – especially with regard to children.

Ew no I hated it. I hate that type of thing, regardless of which side is doing it.
I totally agree with Adam’s comment about the hatred and bigotry shown whenever religion is brought to society’s attention (no matter which religion that might be.) I’ll bet God is sad and shaking His head at our abhorrent behavior.

MCM ~ You’re right about one thing, God shakes his head a lot at his children! Although I don’t agree with their chosen methods in demonstration, I do understand where they are coming from with their demonstration.
Having said that, I still think the Darth Vader pic was flippin funny!!
