On May 27, 2008 Daryl Wheeler “took” the Republican primary for the office of Sheriff of Bonner County in a landslide victory obtaining 2093 votes to his closest opponents 901. Congratulations Daryl!! On to November.

Wheeler For Sheriff
Lately, I have been posting more on politics. Mostly in jest but more just the same. Now I want to post something in the local political arena that is very important to me and the county I live in. The race for Sheriff of Bonner County is this year and I am now going on record, two months before the primary, in support of Daryl Wheeler for the office of Sheriff of Bonner County.
Daryl has been in law enforcement since 1986 and has held positions with the Oakland and Danville, California Police Departments, the Bonner County Sheriff’s Office and is currently a Sergeant with the Sandpoint Police Department where he is the Patrol Division Commander.
Daryl’s experience and training, in my opinion, far outweigh that of any of his competitors. It’s high time that professionalism, motivation and service came to the Bonner County Sheriff’s Office and Daryl is the right person to make that happen.
